Claude can query its own Economic Index

Anthropic launched an Economic Index connector for Claude. Users can ask questions about occupations, locations, and types of tasks, then request the underlying data behind an answer. The connector makes an existing research resource more accessible without a separate analysis setup.

Context

Convenient access does not change the sample. The Index describes patterns in Claude usage, rather than the entire economy. Asking for the underlying evidence is therefore a valuable habit: it helps separate what the data actually measures from a broader interpretation about work or employment.
